What is a fucking Recession?

I know I'm late fuck it, o well. The word recession means a period of reduced economic activity. That's what it says in webster. Well I was watching South Park and the shit made soo much sense but kinda pissed me off. I don't like to read about shit in the government because its always from someone elses point of view, never what it really is. This is my take on the whole recession situation. BULLSHIT!

So basically people are scared to spend money because they don't know if they will get more of it. Jobs are firing people because people aren't spending money like they use to. So basically if people spend money, the jobs will hire people again and the recession will be over some what. I thought that the recession was something more but it really aint. I know a few folks who were fired from their jobs and I thought it was because of the recession. One got fired from walmart, not because of the recession but because he was late all the fucking time. One got fired from sprint because the person was always into it with the manager. One got fired because they failed a background check.. My uncle was fired from GM though. That was pretty fucked up.

My friends who have always been broke.. Are still broke. The folks I know that has always had a job.. Still have that job. They been making the same amount of money for a minute but all of a sudden they say their broke because its a recession. I think that we need to get out of that "its hard out here" mentality because the change always start with US. Shit will only get better if we make it better. Obama can't fix attitudes from the white house..

This is all from my point of view though. Don't want angry comments saying its more to it then what I explained. You know how yall do.

The economy is bad, but always keep in mind that it's the media's job to overhype everything. Note Swine Flu. The economy is picking up, regarding job, studies have shown most companies don't hire through job listings always (15%), most people are hired through networking (70%). There are tons of jobs out there. The media just needs something to report on, so when they don't, they just overhype everything else....

this is true , but when the cost of everything you need ( and the amount of what you get decreases) rises yet your pay doesnt you can run into some issues. it's not THAT bad, but as long as the national debt is where it's at and rising it really doesnt matter

The economy is messed up for several reasons, one is U.S. lending money to other countries and vice versa.

There is a recession, whether people care or not.. that's their decision. Not everybody has lost a job, but I wouldn't be naive too think it couldn't happen.

It all falls back to supply and demand. If no one is buying from thus stores, the less they need to hire... less they make...then they file for bankruptcy or close.

United States spends more money towards other countries and stupid "wars" ...than worrying about citizens here.

The recession does suck, but I try my best to contribute to the boost by consuming!!!

the media is an instigator. in comparison to the media is that annoying friend thats always sayin "ohhhh you gon take that shit yo?" -- the hypeman. our economy is in a fuckery type of state. my dad has worked in the car industry for 30 years. He's been a supervisor for 20 and a head supervisor for 15.. yet he got laid off... why? because of the "recession"...

it's a shitty shit world out there.

P.S luckily my dad went back to work this monday. woohoo.

I wrote an article on the state of the economy for my school's newspaper and overheard some people talking about how they learned in civics/econ that it's not a recession... Well if the only solution is to spend more money, let's get that money and go on a shopping spree.

I don't think it's as bad as the media makes it seem which is what is making everyone go bonkers! lol hopefully this will all be resolved soon cause I'm graduating soon lol

i think its a little bit more going on thats affecting the economy..shit that happened before obama came into office..

but sadly i see where ur coming from because everyone is blaming EVERYTHING on the damn recession...

me personally..im never one to complain..i didnt feel the wrath of the "recession" until this year..
my job began to cut hours which affected me paying my bills..
so what do i do..
find 2nd source of income..start using my talent as a source of income and get a 2nd part time job..i had the time on my hands so why not..

i couldnt just sit back and complain tho..i had to make it better for me

Consumers who contribute to economic growth should be bailed out not the banks that use tax payer’s bailout money to raise interest rates on credit cards and mortgage loan. Give me 10,000 dollars and I will go out in a spending spree!!!

I sat back and read this blog maybe 3 times .. I most definitely agree with predominantly everything you stated .. Majority of my friends who got laid off .. Got fired because they were bull shit workers .. But none the less .. The rich are still rich [if not richer] .. And the Poor are still broke .

Obama can't fix attitudes from the white house?? damnn.. i thought thats what we elected him for! well fck it.. shxt.. hahaha, naw, i feel you.. i think everybody buys into the hype a 'recession' is known to be.. some already going as far as to label this as a DEPRESSION, just because of the lay-off rates increasing, etc.. The economy is only as good/bad as you make it.. spend money, its fine. Be stingy, ur fcked. lol
